A provision of the FY18 National Defense Authorization Act (Pub. L. 115-91), Section 216, amending the other transaction prototype statute. It revises 10 U.S.C. 2371b(d)(1)(A) by adding "or nonprofit research institution" so that participation by such institutions, alongside a nontraditional defense contractor, can satisfy the conditions for entering into a prototype OT.
