Summary
The full statutory text of 10 U.S.C. 2373, "Procurement for experimental purposes," as captured from the Legal Information Institute. It authorizes the Secretary of Defense and the military department Secretaries to buy ordnance, signal, chemical, transportation, energy, medical, space-flight, telecommunications, and aeronautical supplies (and designs) necessary for experimental or test purposes in developing the best supplies for national defense, inside or outside the United States and by contract or otherwise, with chapter 137 applying only for quantities beyond those needed for experimentation.
