A Government Accountability Office report to congressional committees (GAO-25-106856, February 2025) on the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU). It examines how DIU has transitioned commercial technologies for military use, its performance-management process under DIU 3.0, and its collaboration with other DoD innovation organizations, noting that DIU made 450 prototype awards from FY2016 through FY2023 with 51 percent of completed prototypes transitioning to production.
