Summary

Executive Order 14369, 'Ensuring American Space Superiority,' issued December 18, 2025, setting the Administration's space-policy priorities across exploration (Artemis lunar return, lunar outpost), national security (prototype missile-defense technologies, responsive space architecture), commercial space growth, and advanced capabilities. It directs the Secretary of Commerce and NASA Administrator to reform their space acquisition processes, including using existing authorities with a first preference for commercial solutions and 'a general preference for Other Transactions Authority or Space Act Agreements' and other streamlined pathways. Its OT relevance is the directed acquisition-reform preference for OTA.
